A born disruptor

Jess is a real example of small town girl turned globally recognised and awarded tech entrepreneur. Starting her first business at 16 and second at 22 which she scaled into 130 countries and was a finalist contestant on China’s version of Shark Tank x The Apprentice ‘The Next Unicorn’ which aired to 15M p/episode.

Jess has taken on industries ripe for disruption utilizing technology with millennial and Gen-Z markets at the forefront, establishing her as a leading voice in women leadership, innovation and emerging technologies. 

More recently, co-founding Waves Tech Ventures a company which leverages emerging technologies to create impact. The first portfolio company, Women Making Waves is a tech company funding and scaling women’s rights law reform in Australia and the United States introducing a new younger demographic to philanthropy.

Jess has been pinned by Forbes as one of 1,000 entrepreneurs under 30 to change the world in the next 50 years, appeared on Smart Company’s 30 under 30 three times and toured as the opening keynote speaker for Tony Robbins and Tom Bilyue throughout their national tours and interviewed Sir Richard Branson on stage during his recent Australian visit presented by Success Resources (2023).

Women Making Waves *

Women Making Waves is funding and scaling women’s rights law reform in Australia and the United States.

Inspired by a personal experience and strong ‘why’ - Women Making Waves was born after to create awareness, fund and scale women’s rights law reform in Australia and the United States. WMW works with law reform experts who have changed an accumulative 45+ laws and counting.

Jess met co-founder Hayley Evans who previously built and scaled a $14B technology portfolio and the two joined forced to introduce a younger demographic to philanthropy using emerging technologies to do it.

In 2023, WMW has partnered with the likes of Google Cloud, Airbnb, Tiktok and Speedo to co-host live events discussing topics across women equality, innovation and wellness. WMW also co-created digital assets with these partners as the first technology company to create a POAP with the list of global brands.

Women Making Waves and Google Cloud co-created Google’s first POAP (Proof of Attendance Protocol) with joint Google and Women Making Waves utility. The POAP went hand in hand with a co-hosted Women Making Waves and Google event hosted at Google HQ discussing disruptive technologies, the journey and why behind women making waves and the future of tech.
